Lake Adger Community
Located along scenic Route 9 halfway between Lake Lure and Tryon, North Carolina, Lake Adger is a growing community just outside the town of Mill Spring. One hour from Asheville and 35 minutes from Hendersonville, Lake Adger may seem isolated at a glance, but it’s right in the heart of North Carolina’s equestrian region. The brand-new, world-class Tryon International Equestrian Center is just 15 minutes from Lake Adger, and the community itself offers horse farms for sale and riding trails among its amenities.
Lake Adger’s spacious Cape Cod, Traditional, Arts and Crafts, and cabin style homes range from about $300,000 to just under $1M. Plots for your own custom build start around $5000 an acre, and there is no time limit for beginning construction. There are 14 miles of lakefront on the 438-acre man-made lake, so land and homes with access to the water are plentiful, and some even include dock permits.
The Lake Adger community is, in the words of its vision statement, “A place where pure springs and clear streams are protected, parks and conservation areas are set aside, and wildlife habitat is encouraged…” Residents can enjoy low-impact boating and fishing on the lake, as well as swimming and riding the community’s 13 miles of equestrian trails. The nearby Green River Game Land offers hunting, fishing, trapping, and hiking. And, Lake Adger Community is centrally located between Asheville, Hendersonville, and Greenville/Spartanburg for the occasional shopping or dining excursion.
