The Village at Cheshire in Black Mountain, North Carolina is a Traditional Neighborhood Development. That doesn’t sound very exciting, but what the name means is! The community is designed with walkable access to businesses and recreational space in mind, modeled after the ever-disappearing small town. Cheshire offers mixed-use live/work spaces, pedestrian-friendly streets, and a range of dwelling types, including townhomes, short-term rentals, and single-family homes.

Tudor and Craftsman style townhomes are under construction and ready to be reserved, while single-family houses and cottages overlooking the town center are available immediately. Cheshire is creating “courtyard neighborhoods,” with homes close to and oriented towards a central green space, to encourage residents to spend more time outdoors and in community with one another. This approach is meant to offer an alternative to busy urban lifestyles and isolated suburban homes.
